Spy photos show a Chevrolet Corvette with strange exhaust tips

It could be an upgrade to the base option of the Corvette.

Chevrolet recently revealed the Corvette Z06, which is characterized by the fact that it contains the most powerful 8-cylinder engine of the normal aspiration class, but it is imperative to take care of the basic option of the same model, which is available under the designation Stingray, and it is of course the lowest price.

Spy photos were taken of the Corvette Stingray option, with exhaust outlets at the back that have a smaller than usual design, in addition to having only one hole on each side, not two. This may lead some to wonder if experiments are being done to introduce mechanical updates on the same option.

According to reports and rumors that are being prepared to give an additional boost of power to the Corvette Stingray, in return, the thin exhaust outlets have been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency in order to conduct tests on the car, knowing that it is expected to produce 500 horsepower.

As a reminder, the power output of the current version of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is 490 hp for the standard option and 495 hp when equipped with the sports exhaust system.

In turn, it should be noted that some updates have been introduced to the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, related to both the fuel entry system for the engine, the fuel consumption control system, and modification to the engine tuning settings. Perfect when walking on the outside roads.

All news related to the mechanical updates of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be followed up, noting that it is expected to be commercially available for the 2024 models, in addition to the official unveiling of the car during the first quarter of 2024.

The eighth generation of the Chevrolet Covette was able to make a qualitative leap in the car’s career, as it is the first generation that is available with an engine that is located behind the seats and not in the front, knowing that this idea was circulated several decades ago, but no approval was given for that.

It is also expected that the Corvette E-Ray option will be launched, which will be connected to an electric motor, as well as the ZR1 version, which will contain a turbo, not a supercharger, as in previous generations.
