Calif. Man Gets Call and Walks Away from Car Minutes Before Boulder Crushes It: 'Saved My Life'

A California man is thankful to be alive after a close to catastrophe with a falling stone.


Mauricio Henao was guiding the boat last week before he got a call from his darling, according to KCAL-TV, which raised him to get away from the vehicle.

"She made proper acquaintance, 'look at the sack I went," Henao assessed.

Just a short time after he was in the vehicle, which was left along a slant on the Pacific Coast Freeway in Malibu, Henao's vehicle was crushed by a four-foot stone.

"The stone is the size of the whole hood," he told the CW station KTLA.

"I felt goose bumps since, assuming that wasn't actually for that call," Henao told KCAL, "I probably wouldn't be here or someone else might have passed on."
